&lt;p&gt;basically my m2v are either 720x480 ntsc or 640x480 ntsc (as reported by quicktime)... quicktime thinks they are good files, and everything can play them, except dvdsp3 - gives the oh-so-helpful 'incompatible format' error.  &lt;em&gt;tears hair out&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;dont tell me i'm going to have to convert to DV and use compressor to create dvds?!&lt;/p&gt;
