&lt;p&gt;Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have him, and I don't think ANYONE making $17M is worthy of pity.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I also agree with you that I don't think Mike has 5 years left. His love for the game has been questioned before, and he undoubtedly has plans for his life post-hockey.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;But  you have look at the way the contract for Mo is structured i.e. about 5.25 mil / year for the first 3 years and then 750k for the following 2 years. Its not a bad deal for him and he likely wont play those last 2 years anyway&lt;/p&gt;
