Slightly too long for Twitter
“This bill failed because Barack Obama and the Democrats put politics ahead of country,” a McCain adviser said. A majority of House Democrats supported the proposal and the majority of House Republicans opposed it.
Can someone please explain the logic of the above? Anyone?
If McCain wants to win this election, he’s got to distance himself from the Bush administration. Having an advisor take the facts and completely ignore them in an effort to gain support is NOT the way to distance yourself from the Bush administration.
It is interesting that the Republican was in full support of the governments intervention, while the Democrat was “on the sidelines”.
